Alexa is still pretty controversial, but the fact remains that even though the rankings are biased and don't represent all internet users, advertisers still use the rankings, so if you want to monetize your site you better improve that ranking! Of all the fluff out there, I think these 2 sites have been the most help in getting my ranking down to just over 200,000...
