This is a great example on the usage of ideas across industries. To a person who has played RPGs (Role Playing Games), an interface like this makes perfect sense. This type of navigation has been used extremely successfully in a large number of games starting with Monkey Island and Everquest then moving to more compex versions like Resident Evil, etc.. Now that we have the advantage of using that older technology in marketing by taking online since the bandwidth allows, we can really learn from the interfaces they use with their gamers. It would be a shame to let all the design prowess that is proven by testing on an infinite number of consumers (gamers) go to waste.
