Dr. Diane Rinas of DHL Global Mail awarded the FEDMA & Holmen Paper Direct Marketer of the Year

The Recipient of the FEDMA Holmen Paper Direct Marketer of the Year Award has been announced. The award ceremony took place in Madrid. The winner was presented in conjunction with the Spanish Direct Marketing Awards 2009. The Spanish Direct Marketing Associations organized what turned out to be a quite impressive Awards ceremony.

The FEDMA Holmen Paper Direct Marketer of the Year Award was presented to an individual whom have made an outstanding contribution to the direct and interactive marketing industry in 2008.

The winner of the award for 2009 is Dr. Diane Rinas from DHL Global Mail. Below you can see the winner announced in Madrid and the acceptance speech (about 3 minutes into the video). I expect to follow up with more video footage and pictures once available. (see more videos below)

Michael Leander, who chaired the jury of the “FEDMA & Holmen Paper Direct Marketer of the Year Award”, said: “The jury chose Dr. Rinas amongst quite a number of highly qualified European direct marketers whom all have accomplished remarkable achievements in the field. But jury members agreed that Dr. Rinas at DHL Global Mail deserves official recognition from within the industry for her consistently high performance in the planning and implementation of international direct marketing campaigns.”

Dr. Diane Rinas, whose role in establishing DHL Global Mail’s high profile in international direct marketing was highlighted by the judges, commented: “This prize is a great recognition of DHL Global Mail’s high-quality services and our strategic focus on direct marketing as a revenue driver even during the current economic downturn”.

The annual FEDMA Holmen Paper Direct Marketer of the Year Award has been created by FEDMA to provide the direct and interactive marketing industry in Europe with a means of recognizing the achievements of an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to the direct and interactive marketing industry.

The nominee must be an individual whose contributions stand out or who has materially contributed to the growth and success of an area of direct and interactive marketing, preferably within the area of pan-European Direct and interactive Marketing.

FEDMA (Federation of European Direct and Interactive Marketing) organizes the annual award as a platform for the European direct and interactive marketing industry to exchange views and discuss the prospects of their business. Holmen Paper served as the main sponsor of this year’s award together with the Silver Sponsor JetRepublic.
